Cleaning questions for San Diego property owners
Compare scopes, prepare your property and understand the next step before requesting service from MEI Facility Services & Solutions.
Which cleaning services can I request?
Request recurring janitorial service, post-construction cleaning, floor and carpet care, medical and dental office cleaning, exterior work, deep cleaning, residential projects, or water extraction and drying assessment. The proposal confirms the tasks and whether they are suitable for your property.
Do you clean homes as well as commercial properties?
Yes. Residential requests are assessed separately from commercial janitorial programs. Tell us whether the home is occupied or vacant, the number of bathrooms and the details you need. Appliance interiors, cabinet interiors and specialty floor work should be specified in the request.
How is a cleaning proposal priced?
Cleanable area, condition, frequency, surface materials, access and required detail affect the proposal. A heavily used restroom or a room with many obstacles can take more effort than an open space of the same size. Share a budget range and priorities so the scope can be discussed before a price is confirmed.
Can you work before opening or after closing?
Discuss the required service window during the assessment, including alarm procedures and the time floors must be ready for use. Early, evening or weekend work depends on staffing and site requirements. The accepted proposal confirms the actual schedule.
What should I prepare for a walkthrough?
Provide the address, property type, approximate cleanable area, floor materials, restroom count, desired frequency and target start date. Identify priority issues, restricted rooms, utilities and parking or loading arrangements. Photos can help explain the condition before the visit.
Are products, equipment and consumables included?
The written scope identifies what MEI supplies and what the property supplies. Paper products, soap, waste liners, unusual equipment and rentals should be discussed explicitly. Share manufacturer care instructions and product restrictions for sensitive surfaces.
Can you provide documents for our vendor process?
Ask for the current W-9 and insurance information required by your property. Include any project-specific requirements before the proposal is finalized so the team can review them. Do not send access codes, private records or sensitive documents in the public quote form.
Is post-construction cleaning the same as a deep clean?
No. Post-construction work must consider fine dust, new finishes, active trades and handover stages. A deep clean addresses an agreed set of detail tasks for the existing property. Explain the condition and deadline so the appropriate scope can be assessed.
What is included in medical or dental office cleaning?
The practice identifies approved areas, products, touchpoints and access procedures. Waiting rooms, restrooms and agreed surfaces can be scoped separately. Ordinary facility cleaning does not include instrument sterilization, handling sharps or regulated medical waste.
Can I request service for several buildings?
Send an address list and the scope for each property. Different sizes, surfaces, access windows and visit frequencies should be identified separately. MEI assesses staffing, travel and availability before confirming a multi-property proposal.
What happens when I submit the quote form?
The Facility form opens your email application with the request prepared. Review the message and send it to contact@meifacilityservices.com from that application. If the email application does not open, call (858) 295-3421 or email the team directly. A request does not confirm a booking or a crew.
How should I report a missed task or change?
Contact the MEI team with the property, service date and a description of the concern. Refer to the agreed task list and identify any change in occupancy, access or desired work. The team can review the issue and discuss the next step without assuming that new tasks are already included.
